Disassembling a Hans Wegner RY20 RY Mobler Sideboard: PAGE 1
PAGE 1 -- PAGE 2 |
This tutorial shows how to disassemble a Hans Wegner RY20 teak or oak sideboard for transport or shipping. It is a fairly easy procedure, and the piece was designed to be disassembled in this way. |
Start by removing all the contents of the upper cabinet, and the six drawers in the lower cabinet. |
You will need some helpers to assist you in lowering the sideboard so that it lies flat on its back on the floor. |
Next, locate the four screws on each side of the upper cabinet, and remove all eight of the screws. |
Then locate the two screws on either side of the lower cabinet, indicated here with the red arrows. Remove all four of these screws. In some cases these screws may be missing, as they are not strictly required in order for the lower cabinet to attach to the side panels and a prior owner may have failed to reinstall them. |
